ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Aaron D. Franklin is a professor of electrical and computer engineering and chemistry at Duke University (see here). A native of Phoenix, Arizona, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University and a doctorate from Purdue University, both in electrical engineering. Prior to becoming a professor, Franklin worked at IBM as a research scientist studying nanotechnology. He and his wife, Lianne Walters Franklin, are the parents of three children and reside in Cary, North Carolina.
